Storm in Phoenix 8-28-08

We had an amazing storm last night. The news said it was 40 miles wide, and 100 miles long. The lightning reminded us of a strobe light, and the thunder was nonstop. It sounded like a freight train.

"Unusually powerful thunderstorms generating hurricane strength winds ripped through the Valley on Friday night, leaving a swath of mayhem shutting down two runways at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, damaging homes, splintering trees and seriously injuring at least one person.
